Dr. Pellicane, a proud Florida native, was born in Miami. She earned her Bachelor of Science in [name of degree] in [date] and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 1986. Her interest in Ophthalmology grew and she returned to the University of Florida for her residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. Pellicane graduated from her residency in 1994 and became a Diplomate with the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. She returned to South Florida to practice her ophthalmology specialty and in 1997, bought Camelot Animal Hospital and opened her veterinary ophthalmology practice alongside the general practice. Dr. Pellicane's philosophy is to catch pets' eye issues as early as possible to prevent more serious problems from developing. During her career she has healed the eyes of a variety of creatures, including horses, birds of prey, snakes, rabbits, dogs and cats. Currently, she is focusing her efforts on dogs, cats and rabbits.
In addition to helping animals with their eye issues, Dr. Pellicane's favorite pastimes are hiking, bicycling and volunteering for environmental causes. She lives with her husband James, son Jimmy and too many pets to name!
